The East Punjab Children Act, 1949Union territory Act of Chandigarh · Act 39 of 1949

(1)No report in any newspapers or mews-sheet Penalty for publishof any offence by or against a child shall disclose the name, Mec ae address or school, or include any particulars calculated to oe lead to the identification of any child nor shall any picture be published as being or including a picture of any such child.

(2) Any person who publishes any report or picture in contravention of the provision of this section shall be punishable with imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding two months or with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees or with both.

PART VI Maintenance and treatment of persons sent to certified schools or committed to the care of relatives or other fit persons.
