CHAPTER I—Preliminary Short title, extent 1, 2[(]) This Act may be called the Py, and commencement ( njab Lj and Birds Contagious Diseases Act, 1948]. = =~ estock

4. The diseases specified in the Schedule in Appendix Scheduled discases I shall in the first instance be scheduled diseases f p or the purpose of this ~Act, but the ![Cent may, by notification— [Central Government]
(a) delete any entry from the Schedule, or

(2) The Inspector shall forthwith report every order of seizure under this section to the Veterinary Surgeon.

(2) This section shall not apply to any place owned by or under the control or management of any local authority or railway administration or to any airfield where *[livestock or birds] are temporarily kept for sale, exhibition or 1n transit.
