Nothing in these rules shall effect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Ex-Servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by Chandigarh Administration from time to time in this regard.

By Promotion: Yes Group ‘C’ Not applicable From amongst the Library DPC for Attendant having five years promotion :

regular service in the cadre after appointment thereto and (i) Director Higher Education—who possesses the Chaim an educational qualification prescribed for direct (ii) Registrar recruitment under Education- Column 7. Member If none of the Library Attendant is eligible then the (iii) Head of Institution zpost is to be filled up from concerned— t amongst Group 'D' employees Member having five years regular service in the cadre after (iv) Representative appointment thereto and who of Department— possess the educational Member qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment under Column 7.

NJ By Deputation :

From amongst the officials of Punjab/Haryana State Govts./ Union Territory, Chandigarh holding analogous post having 5 years regular service in the cadre. (The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex­ cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department shall ordinarily not exceed three years).
