Section 28: Appointment of visitors

(1) The 1[State Government] shall appoint for every asylum not less than three visitors, one of whom at least shall be a medical officer.

(2) The Inspect or-General of Prisons (where such office exists) shall be a visitor exofficio of all the asylums within the limits of his jurisdiction.
