Section 112: Securlty for: compllance v{lth the condltlons

(1) Eor enjurlng comPllance l/vtth the provtslons of these rul€s and condlttons of the ltcence granted under rule 111, the State Transport Authollty 5ha1l, at the time oi grantlng a llcence requlre the appllcant to furnlsh seculity ot a sum of rupees fifty thousand.

(2) If a llcensee conttavenes any of the provlsiolr of these rules or any of the conditlons under whlch the ltcence ts granted then wlthout preiudtce to any othei actlon that may be taken agatost hiln, the State Transport Authority. as the case may be, may, by order for reasons to be recorded, ln wrltlng, folfett the securlty ln part or ln whole :

Provlded that no order shall be passed urder thts subrule unless the llcensee has been given an opportunlty of being heard :

Pr:ovlded further that the llcensee shaU, tf the amount of securlty at any tlme falls short of the amount specifled In subrule ( 1) forthwtth deposlt further securlty to make up the amolrnt of securit.y.

(3) The securlty deposit, unless forfelted, shall be refunded to the person concerned at the explry of the perLod of the liceoce or earlter ln the event of votuntary down of the ,.13. Perlod of valld1ty and renewal.--(t) A ltcence glanted under sub-rule (4) of rule 111 shall be valid for a perlod of three yeals f.om the date oI tts grant and may be renewed for a perlod of three years at a tlme.

(vlii) the llgensee shall ensure that the goods vehlcles under his control have valid permit for routes on lYhlch the vehlcles have to PIY ;

(ix) the ltcensee shall maintaLn wetqhinq device caPablc of not less than 200 Xiloqrams :

(x) the licensee shall attend to hls custofters in order tn which they aPPEoach him :

Provtded that the costomers ln respect of such perishable goods, as may be [otifled. by the Government lo the Offictal Gazette. shall be qlven prlority over th_e other customer, but slrch customers shall be attended to in order in whlch they approach the llcensee ,\.

(xl) the Iicensee shaII assLgn thc consignmenl amongst the persons operatinq the vehlcles in the order Ln which they have approached him and shalr rnalntaln a reqister chronologlcally recordlng Particulars of the avallable qoods and the persons waiting to operate the vehlcles ;

(xit) the llcensee shall comply wlth the Provlsions of these rutes and shall observe such condltions as the State Transport AuEhority may specify in the licence:

xiii) the Licensee shall make all contracts, in writing contatning the foltowtng particulars, namely :-

(a) Name and address of the conslgnor and the consignees ;
