(2) No person shall drlve and no person shall cause or allow to be drlven ln any publlc place any motor vehlcle whlch ls loaded ln a manner llkely to cause danger or lnju.y to any person or ln such a manner that the load or any part thereof or anythlng extends :--

(a) latelalty beyond the slde of the body or beyond a vertlcal plan ln pro]ongatlon of the stde of the body;

tb) to the front beyond the foremost palt of the vehicle;

(c) to the rear to a distance exceedtng 1.2 metres beyond the rear most part of the vehlcle exc]udlDg luqgaqe carrler ; and

(d) ln helght by a dlstance whlch exceeds 3 the surface upon whlch the moto. vehicte

(3) The provlstons of clause (c) of sub-rule apply to goods carriage when loaded wlth any projecttng thlngs so ]ong as :-- .4 metres from

(a) the projecttns load falts wlthln the ltmlts of the body of a tratlor being dlawll by the goods carrlage ; or

(b) the dlstance by which the pole or other thtnqs projects beyond the rear most polnt of the motor vehlcle does not exceed 1.8 metres ; and

(c) there ts attached to the rear of such pote or other thing iD such a way as to be clearly vlslble from the rear at aU tlmes a white clrcula. disc oI not less than 375 mt[metres tn diameter and at night a lamp in addltloD to the specified lamps on the vehicle so arranged as to show d lecl Ught to the rear.

(4 ) A State Tlansport Authority or lts offlcer lf so authorised by it may. by an order ln wrlting, in emergent cases, exemPt any motor vehicle of such period and subrect to such conallttons as mdy be sPeclfled, froh any or all the Provisions ot thls rule '
