(2) In the case of a Government owned vehtcle, the conductor or If there is no conducto!, the drtver sha[ depostt the goods ln the nealest offtce of the State Transport Undertaking and tf the goods are not clalmed by the owne; or any other person appeartng to the lncharge of the offlce of the State Transport Undertaking to be entitled thereto, he shaU, If such owner or person ls known, cause a notlce to be served upon hlm reqlllrlng hlm to remove the goods. If such owner or person ls not known o! a notl,ce cannot be served upon hlm or he does not comply wlth the requlsttton io the notlce, suchlnchllge may, after three months. of taklng over charge of the goods 3e1l the goods . by pubttc auctton and proceeda thereof shall be credlted lnto the covernment treasury :

Provlded that lf the goods are of perlshabte nature anct are not claimed wi.thln forty-etght hours. they shau be disposedof by the lncharge by pubtlc auctton and the recelpt thereof credlted lnto the Government treasury.

(3) If the goods are clalmed wlthln the pertod speclflecl a charg€ of rupees one per ktlogram or a.part thereof f;r twentyfour hours or fractlon thereof subrect to a mlntrnum charge of two rupees shall be levted. The unclalmed arttcles shau also bellable to these charges on account of thelr custody and dI5posal.

(4) Where artlcles such as arms, ammunltton, exploslves, llntoxlcatlng llquors, opium and lts preparatlon and h;mp anddrug, the sate of ivhtch ts prohtbtted by l,aw, are lettunclalmed, they shal,l be made over to the pouce or exclseauthorltles for dlsposal under the laws dffectlng the arttctes.
