(1) No Co-operative Society S e c t io n 8 5 hall appoint any person as its employee unless he possesses such qualifications (xxxviii) and furnishes such security as may be specified by the Registrar from time to time.
(2) The Registrar may, in any case, for special reasons, relax the provis io ns o f t his ru le t o such ext ent as he may co ns ider proper .
29. Prohibition against being interested in contracts etc-(1) Without Section 85(2) prejudice to the provisions of the bye-laws, no officer of a Co-operative Society (2) (x) and shall have an interest directly or indirectly, otherwise than as such officer- (xxxvii)
(a) in any contract made with the society ; or
(b) in any property sold or purchased or leased by or to the society or
(c) in any other transaction of the Society except as investment made or as loan taken from the society or the provision of residential accommodation by the society to any paid employee of the society.
(2) No officer of a Co-operative Society shall purchase, directly or or indirectly, any property of a member of the Society sold for the recovery of his dues to the Society.
(3) The Prohibitions contained in this Rule shall continue to apply for a period of two years after a person ceases to be an officer of the Society.
CHAPTER V WORKING OF CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES
30. Manner of certifying copies of entries in books-For the purpose of Section 30 section 36 a copy of an entry in the books of a Co-operative Society shall be (1) and 85 certified by a certificate written at the foot of such copy declaring that it is (2) (xv) a true copy of such entry and that the book containing the entry is still in the custody of the Co-operative Society ;
Provided that the said certificate shall be dated and signed by an officer Of the Co-operative Society.
