(1) The National Council shall classify and categorjse the clinical establishments of recognised systems of medicine and submit the same to the Central Government for its approval.
(2) For the appointment of each sub--committee the National Council shall define the functions of the sub-committee, number and nature of members to be appointed thereon and ti~ine for completion of tasks. At the time of formation of each sub-committee, effort should be made to ensure that there is adequate representation from across the country in each committee from experts in the relevant fields across the private sector, public sector and its organizations, non-govemmental sector, professional bodies, academia or research institutions amongst others.
(3)The Chairperson of every sucIJ sub-commillee shall be appointed by the National Council at the time of the appointment of the sub-committee.
(4) The proceedings of the meetings of the sub-committees shall be preserved in the form of minutes.
(5) Any recommendations made by the suD-committees shall be placed before the National Council for its consideration and further necessarj action.
(6) The National Council of clinical establishments may request the State Councils or Union territory Councils to provide inputs for its consideration on particular matters. If required, the State Councilor Union territory Council shall at the request of the National Council oc the Central Government, as the case may be, constitute sub-eommillee consisting of membe~of the State (1100 Union territory Councl! and field experts for such period not exceeding one year, for deliberations and making recommendations on a particular matter or issue_ r 7
