The State Council shall perform the following functions, namely:- a) compiling and updating the Union Territory, Chandigarh Registers of clinical establishment;

b) sending monthly returns for updating the National Register (including in the digital format);

c) representing the Union Territory, Chandigarh in the National Council;

d) hearing of appeals against the orders of the authority;

e) publication on annual basis a report on the state of implementation of standards within the Union Territory, Chandigarh f) monitor the implementation of the provisions of the Act and rules in the Union Territory, Chandigarh;

g) recommend to the Government, any modifications required in the rules in accordance with changes in technology or social conditions;

• I ~ h) perform any other function as may be outlined by the National council of Clinical Establishments' i) Any. other function as may be prescribed' by the Central Government.
