Section 10: Vending Fees

The Town Vending Committee shali fix vending fees depending on the category of street vendors, the status of the market and ·the foot fall of the area, which may be different for different areas in the city of Chandigarh.

t1. The manner of collecting vending fees, maintenance charges and penalties.­ (I) For the purpose of money, whether as a fee or fine or penalty, payable by the street vendors under the Act, Rules and the scheme, Municipal Corporation shall open a bank account in any scheduled bank which shall be operated by such officer of the local authority as the local authority m3¥ direct.

(2) The street vendor may deposit the fees and such other dues in that account with his name and registration number allotted to him and f!lay also be paid in a counter opened for the purpose in the office of the local authority or such other place as the local authority may direct from time to time.

12. Maintenance of record and audit-The account of each TVC shall be audited in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Municipal law of the local authority.
