PART I CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION NOTIFICATIONS AND ORDERS HOME DEPARTMENT Notification ' The 5th April, 2002 No. 121-HII(3)-2002/6765.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution read with the Government of India, inistry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, notification bearing No. S.O. 3267, Ch^e<^ ■ November 1st, 1966, the Administrator, Union Territory, andigarh, hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of Complete Price : Rs. 20.00 <H5J http://chandigiirh.nic.in/ □ CHD. ADMN. GAZ., MAY 1, 2002 ( VYSK 11, 1924 SAKA) [ Part .1 recruitment to Group ’C1 posts in the Weights and Measure Department, Chandigarh, namely : —
1. Short title and Commencement.—(i) These rules may be called the Chandigarh Weights and Measures Department (Group ‘C posts) Recruitment Rules, 2002.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official gazette. "
2. Application.—These rules shall apply to the posts specified in Column I of the Schedule annexed to these Rules.
3. Number of posts, classification and scales of pay.—The number of said posts, their classification and the scales of pay thereof, shall be as specified in Columns 2, 3 and 4 of the said Schedule..
4. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications etc.—The method of recruitment to the said posts, age limit, qualifications and other matters connected therewith shall be as specified in Column 5 to 14 of the said schedule*. .
Provided that the upper age limit prescribed for direct recruitment may be relaxed in the case of departmental candidates and candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Other Special Categories of persons in accordance with the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.’
Provided further that the qualifications/experience prescribed for direct recruitment may be relaxed by the Competent Authority in case of candidate belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, . Other Backward Classes and Other Special Categories of Persons, if at any stage of selection, the Competent authority is of the opinion that the sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
5. Disqualification.— (i) No person who has more than one wife living or who having a spouse living, marries in any case in which such marriage is void by reason of * its taking place during the life time of such spouse ‘ ’shall be eligible for appointment to the said post.
(ijV jNo woman, whose marriage is void by reason of the husband having a wife living at the time of such marriage of who has married a person who has a wife living at the time of such marriage, shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts. •
(iii) The Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, may, if he is -satisfied that there are speical ground for so ordering, exempt any person from the operation of this Rule.
6. Power to Relax.—Where 1 the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, is of the opinion that it is necessary for expedient so to do, he may by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the .
provisions of these rules in respect of any class or category or persons.

1. Short Title and Commencement. — Ci) These rules may be called the Tourism Department, Union Territory, Chandigarh Group 'C' (Ministerial Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2002.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official gazette.
2. Application.—These rules shall apply to the posts specified in Column 1 of the Schedule annexed to these rules.
