Section 53: Power to delegate.

The Chemical Weapons Convention Act, 2000Central Act · Act 34 of 2000

(1) The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, delegate, subject to such conditions and limitations as may be specified in the notification, such of its powers and functions under this Act (except the power to make rules under section 56) as it may deem necessary or expedient, to the National Authority or the Committee referred to in section 11.

(2) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, delegate, subject to such conditions and limitations as may be specified in the notification, such of its powers and functions under this Act, as it may deem necessary or expedient, to any authority or officer of that Government.
