expedient 1n public interest to extend various concessions in electricity duty applicable for the period between 15th September, 2015 to 31 st March, 2016 under Special Package from 1s t April, 2016 to 31 st March, 2017;
And Whereas, it is necessary . to increase the capacity of consumer in serial number 10 and 13 of Part-A of the Schedule of the Chhattisgarh Electricity Duty Act, 1949 (No. X of 1949), up to 20 MV A in place of 15,000 HP;
1 And Whereas, electricity duty on such Steel and Ferro Alloys ,·· ·. i ndustries of the _State having capacity more than 2 MTPA and consuming electricity generated from its Captive Power Plant requires to be reduced from existing 15% to 12% for the period between 1s t April, 2016 and 31 st March, 201 7;
And Whereas, such Generating Company, Captive Generating Plant and Producer of Private/ Public Sector of the State, which are not ,1 Supplying power at Energy (Variable) charges to the state, it is ~ . . .

Supply for time being in force in place of electricity duty which is 15%.

X of 1949), the State Government, hereby, makes the following further amendment in the Schedule of the said Act with immediate effect, namely: -

5. ·After note 4 of the Schedule, the following shall be added, namely: "5. 6. Eligibility for concession of private electricity producer:- Such electricity producer of private sector included in serial number 22, on which amount of electricity duty on auxiliary consumption is due, then they shall have the facility of paying electricity duty of 10 percent of average cost of supply from . 1st April 2016 or the Commercial Production, whichever is later, till 12 years and thereafter at the rate of the average cost of ./ . i..~- ..........
