Section 22: Retention of antiquities by licensee

The State Government may, by order, subject to such terms and conditions as may be specified permit the licensee to retain such of the antiquities recovered during the excavation operation as may be specified therein: .,...

Provided .that human relics of historicat importance and antiquities which in the opinion of the State Government are of outstanding importance, shall not be permitted to be retained by the licensee.
