Section 18: Ventilation

The Chhattisgarh Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1972State Rules of Chhattisgarh · 1952

(1) The Area of the window, door and venti lator opening shall not be less than one -fifth of the total f loor area and windows and venti lator shall be of such dimensions in such number and in such si tuation as the Executive Engineer/Sub-Divisional Officer concerned shall specify.

(2) Mechanical appliances such as exhaust fans shall be used to expel air at the rate of 500 cubic feet or more per person, at least three t imes in an hour :

Provided that the l icensing authority, in consultation with the Executive Engineer/Sub-Divisional Officer concerned and in consultation with the District Medical Officer of Health having jurisdiction over the area in which the cinema is 15 situated may relax the condition laid down in this rule regar ding the total door and windows area, in the case of cinema where exhaust fans have been provided.
