Section 48: Stage switch board

(1) When cinema premises are used for dramatic performances, a switch board fi t ted with the necessary switches, cut -outs and other fi t t ings for the control and regulation of the stage l ighting shall be fixed in some convenient posit ion over -looking the stage.

(2) Connections shall be made where possible at the back of the boa rd and there shall be a space of not less than 3 feet between the wall and the back of the board or such larger space as may be necessary to ensure the thimbles and connections being at al l t imes easily accessible, or, as an alternative in the case of wire s not larger than 7/18 S.W.G. provision may be made by hanging the board for rendering the back of the board accessible.
