The leads to battens and movable lengths shall be specially guarded par ticularly at the points where they join on to the battens and movable lengths and a sufficient length shall be allowed to prevent the leads receiving any injury through any movement of the battens. T his part of the leads shall be protected by stout canvas hose properly fixed and the battens shall be suspended by at least three ropes.
