Section 37: Quorum for general meeting

The Chhattisgarh Co-Operative Societies Rules, 1962 DateState Rules of Chhattisgarh · 1961

(1) Unless otherwise provided in the bye-laws of a society the quorum for general meeting shall be 1/10 or 50 of the total number of members on the date of the notice of the meeting.

(2) No business shall be transacted at any meeting unless there is a quorum at the t ime when the business of the meeting is to commence.

(3) If within half an hour from the t ime fixed for the meeting, no quorum is formed, meeting unless otherwise stated in the notice for call ing the meeting, shall be adjourned by the President to such date, t ime and place as he may announce and no quorum shall be necessary for the adjourned meeting and only those agenda i tems shall be discussed, which were circulated to the members along with the notice in the adjourned meetings:

Provided that the meeting which has been called on the requisit ion of members , under sub-Section (1) of Section 50 shall not be adjourned but dissolved.
