2. Definitions -In these rules, unl I.he oontezt ot.he:n'l'isc rcquires.,-
(a) ••Act" mea.ns the Madhya Pradt.--sh Co-opa-ative Societies Act, 1960 { o. 17 of 1961).
(b) ''Dire.ctor" means the Director f Fis110-ies, Madhya P adcsh. .<1-
(c) "'Fishing apparatus'., means a Craft, ,Tackle, . et, Yarn,. Hoo.k., Wlrycb1 · Line haul.es. and any othu contrivance us.ed for fuhlng:
(d) ~cRcgi.strar'' m.eans the R~istrar of Co-operative Societ~ Madhya radcsh.
(e) •~Society" means Fishennen's Co-operative Society Ltd.~ and registered under the Aiadh ya Pradesh Co~opcra tive Societies Act, 1960 (No~ 17 of 1961).

(b) For otlur purpfJses.- (i) purchase and stocking f fish sood;
(ii) repairs of pon& and tanks;
(iii) Payment of lease money of ponds and 1.a:nks; a.nd
(iv) incurring expendi ore on management.
4. Applica.tio (I) Every applica.tioil for a loan/suhs"ily shall be presented in lhc form appcndod to these rules to the Fishe1ies Officer of the art".a within whose j urjsdiction the registered office of the society :is situated alongwith a resolution of the managing com.m·tu:c of the Society.
{2) The Soctcty making an .a.ppii.ca.tion under sub-rule {I) s.lta.U furnish to ilic sa:tisfuction of he Fisheries Officer s-uch o cr information as may be required by such officer.
5. Disposal of applicadon.- n receipt of the application under sub-rule
(1) of rule 4~ the Fis.hc..-rics Officer shall fo1"W'ard the application to the co11cc.rned ~istant Registrar, Co-op~rative: Sociefcs fo1· his scrut.i y. Th Aas.istant Regi:Jltrar ,hall cau9C such enquiry as he thinks fit to be made in regard to the const.il.ution, · Working nd financial co dition of he society and fotWard the application through proper ch.:-ulncl to the authorities by who n loan or sudsidy may be gr-anted as spec•fied under rule 6.

7. (4) loan gran cd under these rules shall bear interest at such rate as may be weed by the State Government from ·time to imc.
8. Loan how sec'U'ed.-Every loan granted to a. society shall be secured by mort.gaging its a~ts including he fishing apparatues subject to any encum.bra ncc:i e isting at I.he time when the loan is granted and by such collateral security jf any, the uthority competent to grant foan m.ay prescr'be.
9. Di bursement o£ loan . . - (l) fter he loan is sanctioned under rule 7, the sanctio11 shall be issued in the fonn as m y b:e pr-escribed by tl1e Director which shall specify the condition.~ regulating the grant of loan.
(2) n case die am,ou.nt of loan is to be utilised for purchase f fishing appa ratu s lhe value of whichis c.-quivialent: to the amount of loan san.ct"oned , lhe I all shall be released in one instalment.
(3) The ociety shall, itnmcdiately after receiving the fits instaln1ent, produce a satisfact.ory evidence to show that the atnoun of the said itmalment hall been actually utilised for the purpose for which it w advanced, before the neat iostalment loan i3 rcl~d.

12. Effect on non-Payment ol .1-nstabnent.-If a Society, to Whom the loan h~ b. paid under hose rule.,, makes default in the payment of the instal ment due ._,.ith interest ther·wn, the whole of the un-paid balance of the principal and int rest shall become due a.t once;

15. Sanction of foan/Sub idy in kiad.-When a society requests for grant of loan/sudsidy in kind in. the form f fishing apparatuses th e Director may sanct · on the same in the interest of such society.
16. 18. Duty 10 Co.nduct :&h M~keti:o'g.- A society shall conduct fuh mar , eting of tl1eir catch.cs through their M:.:1.:rketing Ft.-dcration, if any, e.··dsting in the area of its operation, or through a cooperative agency, if any onducting fish mar.

19. 20. P-e'nalty.-(a} In the event of a breach of any of the tt:nns by a Society fo whom a Io.an/or sudsidy has b er\ grantod or paid wider these rut or of any co di.t:ions laid d wn in the instrument regard" g 4.hc gran.t of foan or ~ubsidy the authority sanctioning the loan or sudsidy shall re.quest the Registrar to ordcr recovery of the Whol amou nt of tlle loan ouistandin.g tQgelh with in rest a ce.rued thereon or sud&idy iu · UJl' p stun or may order recovery of intert$t at an enhanced rate of 8 pe;rccnt per annum for such pcriod a~ it may tall outstanding.
