These rules may be called the Madhya Pradesh Gram Panchayats (Budget Estimates) Rules, .1997.

(a) "Act"means the Madhya Pradesh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993 (No.-I of 1994); .
..- - . (b) "Financial Year" means the year coinmencing on the first day of . April, and ending on 31 st March of -=hesucceeding year; ..'
(c) "Form" means a form appended to these rules;
(d) "Section" means a Section of the Act;
(e) "Year" means a financial year.
;3. Preparation of Budget Estimates.-(iJ The budget to be prepared the Gram Panchayat must explain in detail e'ach budgetory provision and the reasons justifying the proposed provision in the budget. The various standing committees of the Gram P8-ichayat shall submit the programmes for the ensuing year to the General Administration Committee. Siinilarly, Janapada Panchayat and/or Zila PCL.ichayatshall give an indication of the probable funds which would be made available to the Gram panchayat for ----I R.4 Fifteenth day of March each year.
