The Chhattisgarh Irrigation Act 1931State Act of Chhattisgarh · Act 3 of 1931

( 1) Water may be supplied from a canal at any time for the irrigation of specified areas at the discretion of the Executive Engineer.

(2) vVater supplied on demand shall be paid for accord­ ing to the area actually irrigated. In the determination of such area the decision of the Executive Engineer shall be final and shall not be mdificd or set aside by any civil court.

The water-rates for such supply are called "demand rates"

(3) Rules may be made under this Act regulating the procedure cf canal officers in reciving applications for water on demand, in supplying water on demand, and in assessing canal revenue.
