Section 18: Appointment of Returning Officer

Chhattisgarh Krishi Upaj Mandi (Mandi samiti ka nirvachan) Niyam, 1997State Rules of Chhattisgarh · 1973

The State Government or when so authorised by the State Government, the District Election Officer shall appoint an officer of the State Government not below the rank of a Naib- Tehsildar as a Returning Officer for the conduct of election of Mandi Committee.

Provided that nothing in this rule shall prevent the District Election Officer from appointing same person to be a Returning Officer for election of more than one Mandi Committee.
