Section 3: Prohibition of public meetings on and one day prior to election day

The Chhattisgarh Local Authorities (Electoral Offences) Act, 1964.State Act of Chhattisgarh · Act 13 of 1964

(1) No person shall convene, hold or attend any public meeting within any constituency on and one day prior to the date or dates on which a poll is taken for an election in that constituency.

(2) Any person who contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1) shall be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred and fifty rupees.
