Section 20: Security deposit

Mineral Concession Rules,1960State Rules of Chhattisgarh · 1957

(1) An applicant for a prospecting licence shall, before the deed referred to in sub-rule (1) of rule 15 is executed, deposit as security for the due observance of the terms and conditions of the licence 2 [a sum of two thousand and five hundred rupees] in respect of the every square kilometre or part thereof for which the licence is granted.

(2) Any deposit made under sub-rule (1), if not forfeited under these rules, shall be refunded to the applicant as soon as the report referred to in rule 16 is submitted.
