Section 16: Procedure regarding entry and search

(1) Any officer of Transport Department not below the rank of Transport Sub-inspector or an officer of the police Department not below the rank of Sub-Inspector of Police may exercise the powers under sub-section (1) of Section 16 of the Act.

(2) All searches made under sub-section (1) of Section 16 of the Act shall be made in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 197.3 (No. 2 of 1974).
