Section 50: Municipal Government vests in Council

The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act 1961State Act of Chhattisgarh · Act 37 of 1961

(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules and bye-laws made thereunder, the Municipal Government of a Municipality shall vest in the Council.

(2) Subject to the restrictions, limitations and conditions imposed by this Act and the rules made there under the executive powers for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act shall vest in the Chief Municipal Officer.
