Section 7: Sources of income of the Mohalla Samiti: The Sources of Income.of the mohalla samiti shall he as follows

The Chhattisgarh Nagar palika Mohalla Samiti (Constitution, functions, Powers and Procedure for Conduct of Business) Rule, 2005State Rules of Chhattisgarh · 1956

(a) funds received from Central Government, State Government or Municipality.

(h) funds collected from the resident for the development of Mohalla as donations.

(c) funds received from any other sources.

8. Receipt of the sums and withdrawals :

·(I) Each Mahalia Sarni Li shall have Bank Account which shall be opened in such Bank as may he earmarked by the Municipality.

(2) Whichever sums received t0 the Mohall a Samiti under Ruic 7 shall immediately he deposited in the Bank Account opened under sub- rule (1 ).

()) The amount shall be withdrawn from the Bank Account through cheque under the joint signatures of the President and Secretary of the Mohalla Sarniti after the approval of Mohalla Samiti .

(4) • 316(5) An account book shall be mainlained for the purpose of income and expenditure and the accounts shall be audited by such institution which may he determined hy the Municipality .

(6) Each Mohalla S,m,iti shall have a office and a Sem,tary therein. Arrangernen1 of Secretary shall he made by the Municipality. · The date and time for the meeting of Mahalia Samili shall he fixed by its Persidcnt and such meeting shall necessarily be conveyed at least once in a month'. The notice of conveying the mt:cting shall necessarily be given by Sccreiary to !he President and all !he members of the M_ohalla Sam iii al least lhrce days before.

In !he meeting of the Mohall a Snmiti the decision shall be laken by majority of the vote, and in case of the equality of votes the President of the Mohalla Samili sball have the right of casting vole.

In each meeting of Mohalla Samiti, Secretary shall necessarily be present. _ The quorum for the meeting shall be one half of the total number of memhers .

Each Mahalia Samiti shall havc•its own Minutes Book in which the names of the members present in each meeting the details of the cases discussed in the meeting, the decision taken in each case, the names of the members who voted in favour of decision and the names of mCmbcrs who voled against the decision, etc. shall be recorded.

(7) Minutes of the proceedings at each meeting shall be signed by the President and Secretary of the Mohalla Samiti. •

10. Removal of Difficulties: In case of any douht or difficulty arise in giving effect to the provisions of these rules t11c same shall be referred to the State Government on which the decision of t11e State Government shall hG final.
