Section 49: Appeal

The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules, 1985State Rules of Chhattisgarh · 1915

(1) The licensee may file an appeal against the decision or order made or passed under rule 48 to- ( i) the Narcotics Commissioner where such decision or order was made or passed by any officer subordinate to him; and

(ii) the 1[Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue or any other officer, not below the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India, authorised by him in this behalf], in any other case, within 30 days from the date of communication to him to such decision or order.

(2) Every memorandum of appeal shall be accompanied by a copy of the decision or order appealed against.

(3) Every appeal under this rule shall be filed in such form and in such manner as may be specified by the 1[Central Government].
