Section 17: Recovery of forfeitures and disposal thereof and of fines

The Press and Registration of Books Act, 1867State Act of Chhattisgarh · Act 25 of 1867

Any sum forfeited to the Government under 4 [section 16] may be recovered, under the warrant of the Magistrate determining the sum, or of his successor in office, in the manner authorised by the 5 Code of Criminal Procedure (10 of 1882) for the time being in force, and within the period prescribed by the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860), for the levy of a fine.
