Section 10: Forfeiture of apparatas used in contravention of the rules and penalties

The Chhattisgarh Riverine Fisheries Rules 1972.State Rules of Chhattisgarh · 1948

(1) All apparatus used in contravention of these n ~ l e r may be scizcd and taker1 to the nearest police station by any person ernpo\trered to act under section 6 of the Act and all such apparatus shall be forfeited on collviction of the offender.

(2) Fish, being a perishable commodity, shall be auctioned immediately after its seizure and money so received shall be depositcd in suspense account pending decision of the case.

(3) O n acquittal of the offender the money so rccci\fed shall be refunded and the person acquitted shall have no right for any further claim thcrcof.
