(1) The Vice-President shall hold office for a term of one calendar year, Term of office Vice-President And members Of council

(2) Every member of the Council other than an ex-officio member shall hold office for a term of three years from the date his election or nomination is notified in the Gazette under sub-suction (2) of section 4:

Provided that notwithstanding the expiry of his term, such member shall continue to hold office until the election or selection, as the case may be, of his successor is duly notified in the Gazette.
