Section 10: Promotions

Coast Guard (Condition of Service) Rules, 1986Central Rules · 1978

(1) Promotions to various ranks shall be as prescribed in the recruitment rules for each rank.

(2) Seniority, qualifications, procedure for promotions and constitution of Departmental Promotion Committee shall be as promulgated by the Central Government from time to time.

(3) Officers shall be promoted to the next higher rank on fulfillment of conditions/ qualifications as promulgated and subject to availability of vacancies in a particular rank.
