1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Coinage of One Hundred Rupees and Five Rupees Coins to mark the occasion of CENTENARY COMMEMORATION OF KOMAGATA MARU INCIDENT Rules, 2014.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Denomination of coins.—The coins of the following denominations shall also be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of “CENTENARY COMMEMORATION OF KOMAGATA MARU INCIDENT”, namely:—
(i) One Hundred Rupees;
(ii) Five Rupees. िस$ केिस$ केिस$ केिस$ के का का का का अ�ंकत अ�ंकत अ�ंकत अ�ंकत म�ूयम�ूयम�ूयम�ूय मानकमानकमानकमानक वजनवजनवजनवजन अन&ुातअन&ुातअन&ुातअन&ुात उपचारउपचारउपचारउपचार धातुधातुधातुधातु संरचनासंरचनासंरचनासंरचना म'म'म'म' मानकमानकमानकमानक वजनवजनवजनवजन म'म'म'म' ((((1111)))) (2)(2)(2)(2) (3)(3)(3)(3) (4)(4)(4)(4) एक सौ �पए 35 �ाम चाँदी म� 1/500वां जोड़ कर या घटा कर अथा�त् चाँदी म� �ित 1000 म� 498 से 502 तक का अंतर हो सकेगा। 1/100 जोड़ कर या घटा कर अथा�त ्वजन म� 34.65 �ाम से 35.35 �ाम तक का अंतर हो सकता ह ै। पांच �पए 6 �ाम तांबा और ज�ता के िलए 1/100वां कम या !यादा अथा�त् तांबा म� 74 �ितशत स े 76 �ितशत तक का अंतर हो सकता ह ै और ज�ते म� 19 �ितशत से 21 �ितशत तक का अंतर हो सकता ह ै और िनकल के िलए 1/200वां जोड़ कर या घटा कर अथा�त ् िनकल म� 4.5 �ितशत से 5.5 �ितशत तक का अंतर हो सकता ह ै। 1/40वां जोड़ कर या घटा कर अथा�त ्वजन म� 5.85 �ाम से 6.15 �ाम तक का अंतर हो सकता ह ै। 4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)]
3. Dimension, composition, etc. of coins.— The coins of the denominations mentioned in rule 2 shall conform to the following dimensions and composition, namely:- Denomination of coin Shape and outside diameter Number of serrations Metal composition

4. Design. —The design of the coins shall be as under:-
(i) ONE HUNDRED RUPEES OBVERSE: The face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “स�यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left upper periphery with the word “ भारत ” in Devnagri script and on the right upper periphery with the word “INDIA” in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol “`” and denominational value “100” in International Numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE: The face of the coin shall bear the portrait of “KOMAGATA MARU" ship in the centre, with inscription “शता द�शता द�शता द�शता द� ःमरणो�सवःमरणो�सवःमरणो�सवःमरणो�सव” and "कोमागाटाकोमागाटाकोमागाटाकोमागाटा मा�मा�मा�मा� ूसगंूसगंूसगंूसगं" in Devnagri script on top periphery and right lower periphery respectively. On the left upper periphery and lower periphery shall bear the inscription “CENTENARY COMMEMORATION” and "KOMAGATA MARU INCIDENT" in English respectively. The year’s figure “1914-2014” shall be shown on right upper periphery in international numerals.
(ii) FIVE RUPEES OBVERSE: The face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “स�यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left upper periphery with the word “ भारत ” in Devnagri script and on the right upper periphery with the word “INDIA” in English. Standard weight and remedy allowed.—The standard weight of the coins of the following denominations, coined to commemorate the occasion of “CENTENARY COMMEMORATION OF KOMAGATA MARU INCIDENT” and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the Table below:— TABLE Denomination of the coin Standard weight Remedy allowed In composition In standard weight
