1. सिंᭃ᳙ नाम और ᮧार᭥भ.— )1( इन िनयमᲂ को “िबजु पटनायक ज᭠ मशती” के अवसर पर ᭭मरणो᭜सव मनाने के िलए एक सौ ᱧपये और पांच ᱧपये के िसᲥᲂ का िनमाᭅण िनयम, 2016 है । )2 ( ये राजपᮢ मᱶ ᮧकाशन कᳱ तारीख को ᮧवृᱫ हᲂगे ।
2. िसᲥᲂ का अᳰंकत म᭨ूय.— “िबज ुपटनायक ज᭠ मशती” के अवसर पर ᭭मरणो᭜सव मनाने के िलए के᭠ᮤीय सरकार के ᮧािधकार के अधीन जारी करने के िलए टकसाल मᱶ िन᳜िलिखत अंᳰकत मू᭨य के िसᲥᲂ का िनमाᭅण ᳰकया जाएगा, अथाᭅत :—
(i) एक सौ ᱧपये;
(ii) पांच ᱧपये;
3. िसᲥᲂ कᳱ िवमाएं और सरंचना – िनयम 2 मᱶ उि᭨लिखत अंᳰकत मू᭨ य के िस के िन᭥ निलिखत िवमाᲐ और संरचना के अनुᱨप हᲂगे, अथाᭅत् :— िसᲥे का अंᳰकत मू᭨य आकृित और बा᳭ ᳞ास दांतᲂ कᳱ संया धातु संरचना )1( )2( )3( )4( एक सौ ᱧपये वृᱫाकार 44 िमलीमीटर 200 चतथुᭅक िम᮰ धात ु रजत 50– ᮧितशत तांबा 40– ᮧितशत िनकल-05 ᮧितशत ज᭭ता-05 ᮧितशत पांच ᱧपये वृᱫाकार 23 िमलीमीटर 100 िनकल पीतल तांबा-75 ᮧितशत ज᭭ ता-20 ᮧितशत िनकल 05- ᮧितशत 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)]
4. िडज़ाइन – िसᲥᲂ का िडज़ाइन िन᳜ानुसार होगा :—
(i) एक सौ ᱧपय े अᮕ भाग िसᲥे के मुख भाग पर म᭟य मᱶ अशोक ᭭त᭥भ का ᳲसह शीषᭅ होगा, िजसके नीचे “स᭜ यमवे जयत”े मुᮤा लेख उ᭜कᳱᳶणत होगा, उसकᳱ बा ऊपरी पᳯरिध पर देवनागरी िलिप मᱶ “भारत” श᭣द और दािहनी ऊपरी पᳯरिध पर अंᮕेजी मᱶ “INDIA” श᭣द होगा और ᳲसह शीषᭅ के नीचे ᱧपया का ᮧतीक “ ” और अंतराᭅ᳦ीय अंकᲂ मᱶ अंᳰकत मू᭨य “100” भी होगा। पृ᳧ भाग िसᲥे के इस भाग के म᭟य मᱶ “िबज ु पटनायक” कᳱ आकृित होगी िजसके साथ ऊपरी पᳯरिध पर दवेनागरी िलिप मᱶ “िबजु पटनायक ज᭠ मशती” लेख और िनचली पᳯरिध मᱶ अंᮕेजी मᱶ “BIJU PATNAIK BIRTH CENTENARY” और आकृित के नीचे अंतराᭅ᭬ ᮝीय अंको मᱶ वषᭅ “1916-2016” उ᭜ कᳱणᭅ ᳰकया जाएगा।
(ii) पाचं ᱧपय े अᮕ भाग िसᲥे के मुख भाग पर म᭟य मᱶ अशोक ᭭त᭥भ का ᳲसह शीषᭅ होगा, िजसके नीचे “स᭜ यमवे जयत”े मुᮤा लेख उ᭜कᳱᳶणत होगा, उसकᳱ बा ऊपरी पᳯरिध पर देवनागरी िलिप मᱶ “भारत” श᭣द और दािहनी ऊपरी पᳯरिध पर अंᮕेजी मᱶ “INDIA” श᭣द होगा और ᳲसह शीषᭅ के नीचे ᱧपया का ᮧतीक “ ” और अंतराᭅ᳦ीय अंकᲂ मᱶ अंᳰकत मू᭨य “5” भी होगा। पृ᳧ भाग िसᲥे के इस भाग के म᭟य मᱶ “िबज ु पटनायक” कᳱ आकृित होगी िजसके साथ ऊपरी पᳯरिध पर दवेनागरी िलिप मᱶ “िबजु पटनायक ज᭠ मशती” लेख और िनचली पᳯरिध मᱶ अंᮕेजी मᱶ “BIJU PATNAIK BIRTH CENTENARY” और आकृित के नीचे अंतराᭅ᭬ ᮝीय अंकᲂ मᱶ वषᭅ “1916-2016” उ᭜ कᳱणᭅ ᳰकया जाएगा।
5. मानक वजन तथा अनमुत छूट — “िबज ुपटनायक ज᭠ मशती” के अवसर पर ᭭मरणो᭜सव मनाने के िलए बनाए गए िन᳜िलिखत अंᳰकत मू᭨य के िसᲥᲂ का मानक वजन और ऐसे िसᲥᲂ को बनाने मᱶ अनु᭄ात उपचार िन᳜िलिखत सारणी मᱶ यथािविन᳸द᳥ ᱨप मᱶ होगा, अथाᭅत् :— सारणी िसᲥे का अंᳰकत मू᭨य मानक वजन अनुमत छूट संघटन मᱶ मानक वजन मᱶ )1( )2( )3( )4( एक सौ ᱧपये 35 ᮕाम रजत मᱶ 1/500वां जमा या घटा अथाᭅत रजत के अंश मᱶ ᮧित 1000 मᱶ 498 से 502 तक का अंतर हो सकेगा । 1/100वां जमा या घटा अथाᭅत वजन मᱶ 34.65 ᮕाम से 35.35 ᮕाम तक हो सकता ह ै। पांच ᱧपये 6 ᮕाम तांबा और ज᭭ ता के िलए 1/100वां जमा या घटा, अथाᭅत तांबे मᱶ 74 ᮧितशत से 76 ᮧितशत और ज᭭ ता मᱶ 19 ᮧितशत से 21 ᮧितशत का अंतर हो सकता है तथा िनकल के िलए 1/200वां जमा या घटा अथाᭅत िनकल मᱶ 4.5 ᮧितशत से 5.5 ᮧितशत का अंतर हो सकता ह ै। 1/40वां कम या ज् यादा अथाᭅत वजन मᱶ 5.85 ᮕाम से 6.15 ᮕाम का अंतर हो सकता ह ै। [फा. सं. 02/17/2015-िस का] पंकज गु᭡ ता, अवर सिचव (एस. पी. एम. सी. और िस का) ¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(i)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3 MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Economic Affairs) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 16th February, 2016 G.S.R.172 (E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of Section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely : —
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage of One Hundred Rupees and Five Rupees Coins to Commemorate the Occasion of “BIJU PATNAIK BIRTH CENTENARY” Rules, 2016
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Denomination of coins.- The coins of the following denominations shall also be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of “BIJU PATNAIK BIRTH CENTENARY”, namely:—
(i) One Hundred Rupees;
(ii) Five Rupees.
3. Dimension and composition of coins.- The coins of the denominations mentioned in rule 2 shall conform to the following dimensions and composition, namely : —
4. Design.-The design of the coins shall be as under: —
(i) ONE HUNDRED RUPEES OBVERSE:
The face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “स यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” in Devanagari script and on the right periphery flanked with the word “INDIA” in English, and it shall also bear the Rupee symbol “`” and denominational value “100” in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol.
REVERSE:
The face of coin shall bear the portrait of “BIJU PATNAIK” in the centre, with the inscription “ �बजु पटनायक ज�मशती” in Devanagari script on upper periphery and the lower periphery shall bear the inscription “BIJU PATNAIK BIRTH CENTENARY” in English, and the year’s figure “1916-2016” shall be written below the portrait of “BIJU PATNAIK”.
(ii) FIVE RUPEES OBVERSE:
The face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “स यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” in Devanagari script and on the right periphery Denomination of coin Shape and outside diameter Number of serrations Metal composition

5. Standard weight and remedy allowed.- The standard weight of the coins of the following denominations, coined to commemorate the occasion of “BIJU PATNAIK BIRTH CENTENARY” and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the following table, namely:— TABLE Denomination of coin Standard weight Remedy allowed In composition In standard weight

Five Rupees 6 Grams 1/100th plus or minus for Copper and Zinc, that is to say Copper could vary from 74 per cent to 76 per cent and Zinc from 19 per cent to 21 per cent and 1/200th plus or minus for Nickel that is to say Nickel could vary from 4.5 per cent to 5.5 per cent.
1/40th plus or minus, that is to say, the weight could vary from 5.85 grams to
6.15 grams.
