(e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement. — (i) These rules may be called “The coinage of Sixty Rupees and Ten Rupees coins to commemorate the occasion of Diamond Jubilee of Coir Board, Rules, 2014”.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Denominations, Dimensions etc,.—(i) The Coins of the following denominations shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of “Diamond Jubilee of Coir Board”, namely:—
(i) Sixty Rupees;
(ii) Ten Rupees.

(ii) The coins of the above denominations shall conform to the following dimensions, designs and composition, namely:— Denomination of the coin Shape and outside diameter Number of serrations Metal composition

Ten Rupees Circular 27 millimeters (Bi-metallic) Nil Outer Ring (Aluminum Bronze) Copper - 92 per cent.
Aluminium - 6 per cent.
Nickel - 2 per cent.
Center Piece (Cupro Nickel) Copper - 75 per cent.
Nickel - 25 per cent.
DESIGN
2. Sixty Rupees Obverse The face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “स# यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत“ in Devnagri script and on the right periphery flanked with the word “INDIA” in English. It shall also bear the rupee symbol “`” and the denominational value “60” in international numerals below the Lion Capital.
Reverse The face of the coin shall bear the logo of “Coir Board” in the centre, with the inscription “DIAMOND JUBILEE” in English above the logo and the year “1953-2013” shall be inscribed below the logo. The logo and the words mentioned above are encircled in design of coir rope. The words “कयर बोड/ के 60 वष/” in Devnagri shall be flanked on upper periphery and “60 YEARS OF COIR BOARD” in English on the lower periphery.

3. 3. STANDARD WEIGHT AND REMEDY ALLOWED. — The standard weight of the coins of the following denominations, coined to commemorate the occasion of “60 YEARS OF COIR BOARD” and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the following Table, namely: — TABLE Denomination of coin Standard weight Remedy allowed In composition In standard weight

Centre Piece (Cupro-Nickel) Plus or Minus 1 per cent for both Copper and Nickel, that is to say, the Copper may vary from 74 per cent to 76 per cent and Nickel may vary from 24 percent to 26 per cent.
Plus or minus 2.5% that is to say, weight could vary from 7.52 grams to
7.90 grams.
