Nothing in these rules shall after reservations, relaxations of age limit and concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Casts, the Scheduled Tribes, the Armed Forces personnel and other special categories persons in accordance with the order of the Central Government issued from time to time in this regard.

1. A degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
2. Not less than 10 years’ experience in Group ‘A’ posts in the field of General Administration, or Personnel Management or Financial Management or Legal Affairs Desirable:
Posts graduate degree in law from recognized university.
By transfer/ Deputatio n/ promotion.
1.(i) Officers of All India Ser-vices or any other Central Services Group ‘A’ or the holding posts equivalent to that of Deputy Secretary to the Government of India or be eligible for appointment to posts equivalent to that Deputy Secretary to the Govt of India (Period of deputation shall not ordinarily exceed four years)
(ii) Officers of Coir Board with 5 years’ regular Service in posts in the scale of Rs.3000-4500 and having minimum qualification prescribed under Co.1.8
2. In the event of selection of an Officer of Coir Board, his appointment to the posts shall be treated as promotion.
