Section 27F: Recording of vote

The Conduct Of Election Rules,1961Central Rules · 1951

(1) A notified elector who has received a postal ballot paper and desires to vote shall record his vote on the ballot paper in accordance with the instructions contained in Form 13E and then enclose it in the cover in Form 13B.

(2) The notified elector shall sign the declaration in Form 13A in the presence of, and have the signature attested by, an officer authorised under sub-rule (2) of rule 27J.

1[(3) In the case of an absentee voter, the recording of vote shall be made in such centre as may be specified by the Election Commission:

Provided that in the case of absentee voter in the class of senior citizen or persons with disability, the attestation of declaration in Form 13A shall be done by the poll officer.
