Section 6: In section 7 of the principal Act, for sub-section (2), the following sttb-«ecCions" shall be substituted, namely

, "(2) the State Council shall consist of the following members, namely;— , . . .

(o) the Minister incharge of consumer affairs in the State Government who shall be its Chairman;

(&) such number of other official or non-official members reproaaating such interests as may be prescribed by the , State Government. !

(3$. The State Council shall meet as and when necessary but not less than two meetings shall be held every year.

<4) Tfa£ State Council shall meet at such time and place as the Chairman may think fit and Shall observe such procedure in regard to the transaction of its business as may be prescribed by the State Government.".' !

7. In section 9 of the principal AeV~

(1) in clause (a),—

(i) the words "with the prior approval of the Central Government" shall be omitted^ . . . . i

(ji) the following proviso shall ̂ ne inserted at the end, ttawiely:^— i ' ' "Provided that the State Government may, if it deems fit, sstablish more than one District Forum in a district.";

\Z) in clause (b), the words "with the prior approval of the Central Government" shall be omitted.
