If any bond given for appearance of the respondent is forfeited due to his absence, the Tribunal may, after giving opportunity to the respondent or the surety, asthe case may be, levy the whole or any part of the amount mentioned in the surety bond, as penalty and direct the same to be recovered as if it were a fine imposed on the respondent/surety under the Code.
