Section 5: Extension of rules, orders, etc., under certain laws

(1) All rules, notifications, orders, regulations and bye-laws made or issued by the Central Government under the provisions of any Act generally for the territories to which such Act extends shall, as from the commencement of the provisions of such Act in Goa, Daman and Diu, extend to, and come into force in Goa, Daman and Diu.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), no rules, notifications, orders, regulations and bye-laws made or issued by the Central Government under the following acts, namely:—
(i) The Indian Explosives Act, 1884, 4 of 1884.
(ii) The Petroleum Act, 1934, 30 of 1934.
(iii) The Imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1947, 18 of 1947.
(iv) The Inflammable Substances Act, 1952, 20 of 1952.
(v) The Essential Commodities Act, 1955, 10 of 1955.
shall extend to, and come into force in Goa, Daman and Diu unless the Central Government, by notification in the Official Gazette, otherwise directs.
