Section 28: Ambient air quality at the landfill site and at the vicinity shall be monitored to meet the following specified standards, namely

(i) Sulphur dioxide 120µg/m 3 (24 hours)

(ii) Suspended Particulate Matter 500µg/m 3 (24 hours)

(iii) Methane Not to exceed 25 per cent of the lower explosive limit (equivalent to 650 mg/m 3 )

(vi) Ammonia daily average (sample duration 24 hrs)

0.4 mg/m 3 (400 µg/m 3 )

(v) Carbon monoxide 1 hour average : 2 mg/ m 3 8 hour average : 1mg/m 3
