(1) Save as otherwise provided by any enactment for the time being in force, an appeal from a decree or order of the court of the District Judge shall lie to the High Court.
(2) An appeal from a decree or order of tjie court of the Civil Judgg shall lie—
(a) to the court of the District Judge where the value of the original suit in which or in any proceeding arising out of which the decree or order has been made, does not exceed ten thousand rupees; and
(b) to the High Court in any other case.
7. The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, confer within such local limits as it thinks fit, on the court of the Civil Judge the jurisdiction of a Judge of the court of Small S of ]q08.
