2. Definitions.—In these rules, unless the con!e,\t other wise fesuires,—
(l) Act ' means the Recovery of Debts Due to Banks and Fuvmcial Insliiutiops Act. I9S3 (51 of 1993;

v Salary.— The Presiding Officer of an Appellate Tribunal shall he prdd such salary as admissible to serving Judge ol a Bisll Court :

6. Leave Sanctioning Authority.—The President of India shall be the_ authority competent to sanction leave to the Presiding On;cer of the Appellate Tribunal.
7. Pension/Provident 1-UIKI.—In case a, serving Judge or an Officer of :he Central Government or State Government is holding the post of Presiding OScer . the Service rendered in Appellate Tribunal will count for pension to be drawn in accordance with the rules of tbc service to which he behsnps He shall also be governed by the provisions of the General Provident, Fund (Central Services J Rules, I960, in all other cases, a person shall be entitled to Contributory Provider1 Fund (India) Rules, 3 962.
8- Travelling Allowances.—The Presiding Officer of an Appellate Tribunal while on tour or on i ranker (including Ibe journey undertaken to join the Appellate Tribunal or on Ice expiry of his term with the Appellate Tribunal to proceed to his home town) shall be entitled to the travelling allow ances. daily allowances, transportation of p r r som! effects en'.!

9. Leave Travel Concession.—The Presidinp Officii of ai Appellate Tribunal shall be entitled to leave travel conces s i t at the same rates and at the same scale as are applicable lr a lodge of a Hi.r.h Court in tin Stale in which the App-ellate Tribunal is located.
10. Facility of conveyance.—The Presiding Officer cf an Appellate Tribunal shall be entitled to a staff car and one hundred and fifty litres of pciro! e*ery month or actual con sumption of petrol per month, whichever is le*s
11. Accommodation.— (1) Every person appointed as a Presiding Officer of an Appellate Tribunal shall be clicrii-Ie.

: EXTRAORDINARY [PART I I — S E C . 3(i)] , (21 Where the Piesiding Officer of an Appellate Tr ibune occupies an official residence beyond permissible period, he stal l be liable to pa> additional licence lee or penal rent, as the case may be, anil he shall be liable to eviction in Itccujdejutc v\i;ii lite rules applicable lo Central Government Servants.
{}) Where the Presiding Officer of an Appellate Tribunal d o c i j avail o.r facility of official residence under sunrule [1.1, lie shall be entitled lo House Rem Allowance as admissible to Group 'A' officers of the Genital Government drawing equivalent pay.
12. Facilities for medical treatment.—The Presiding Offi cer ol an Appellate Tribunal shall be entitled lo medical itcatmenl and hospital facilities as provided in the Contri butory Health Services Scheme P.ules, 1954 and in places where IDC Central Health Services Scheme is not in operation, the said Presiding OJficer shall be entitled to the facilities ns provid-d in the Central Services.Medical Aitendance Rules,

13. Residuary Provision.—Mailers relating to ihe condl lions of services of the Presiding; Officer of an Appellate Tri bunal viMi respect to whicii to express provision has been made in these rules shall be re/erred in each case to the Central Government for its decision and the decision of the Central Government thereon shall be bindine on the said Presiding Officer.
14. P e e r lo re.'i-t.—The Central Government shall have power to relax the provisions of any of these rules in respect of any ilass or categories of persons.
