Governor of Natioiwl Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to convene the first meting of the newly constituted East Delhi Municipal Corporation under section 73 of the Act on 01.05.2012 at 12 Noon at Udyog Sadan, DSIIDC, Patparganj, Delhi. The Municipal Secretary will issue the required notice in J this behalf.

The Lt. Governor of National Capital Territory of Del!'1i under section 77 of the Act is further pleased to nominate Shri B.B.Tyagi to preside over the meeting for the election of the Mayor. He will be administered oath/ affirmation as per section 32 of the Act, by Dr. B.M.Mishra, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (East-Revenue). The other Coucillors will be administered oath/affirmation by the Presiding Officer.
The newly constituted Corporation will proceed to elect the Mayor, as required by section 35 of the Act. The Mayor so elected will then assume the chair and proceed to conduct the election of the Deputy Mayor and six members of the Standing Committee as required under section 35( 1) and 45( 1)(i) of the Act respectively.
