No. 13/13/2003/HP-l/Estt./228-230.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sectSfe^^i Section 147 of the Delhi Police Act, 1978 (34 of 1978), the Lieutenant Governor ofthe National Ca^Rlf^Jrf^'^PBelSns pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Delhi Police (Appointment and Recruitment) Rules, 1980, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement (I) These rules may be called the Delhi Police (Appointment and Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2014.

2, Amendment of IJui&nj&iv) In the Delhi Police (Appointment and Recruitment) Rules, 1980, in Rule 17-B (iv) iLiLJ?5^ l f ^ relating to the post of Assistant Wireless Operator/Tele-Printer Operator (H.C.) of • Communication Unit in Delhi Police.
(aj r-'ort'Ke entry against column 4, relating to the 'Pay Band and Grade Pay/Pay Scale' the following entry shall be substituted, namely:— "Pay Band-1, Rs. 5200/- 20200/-, Grade Pay-Rs. 2400/-."
(b) For the entry against the column 8, relatmg to the 'Educational and other Qualifications required for direct recruitment', the following entry shall be substituted, namely:— "(b) Proficientry in Computer Operation Qualifying in Nature.
* Test English word processing speed—1000 key depressions in 15 minutes.
* Text basic computer functions:— Opening/Closing of PC, Printing, MS office usage, saving & modification in typed text, paragraph setting & numbering etc.
(c) For the entry against the column 11, relating to the method of Recuitment whether by direct recruitment or by promotion or by deputation/absorption and percentage ofthe vacancies to be filled by various methods, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:— " 100% by direct recruitment.
(i) 90% vacancies shall be filled from the open competition and;
(ii) 10% vacancies shall be filled from the Delhi Police confirmed Constables by giving them age relaxation as per GOIs instructions.
Note: Entrance test for outside candidates and departmental candidates shall be same."
