Section 39: District level Committee

Delhi Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018Union territory Rules of Delhi · 2016

(1) The District Level Committee on disability referred to in section 72 of the Act, shall consist of the following persons, namely:-

(i) An officer of the civil services of the Union or of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, not below the rank of a District Magistrate or Deputy Commissioner, as the case may be of the district.......................

Ex-officio Chairperson;

(ii) Chief District Medical Officer ………………………… Member;

(iii) Psychiatrist of a District Hospital……………………. Member;

(iv) Public Prosecutor of the District ……………………... Member;

(v)

(vi) Asstt. Commissioner (Labour) ………………………… One Representative from the local bodies, Department of Women and Child Development and Public Works Department of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi …………………..

(vii) Representative of a Registered Organization having at least five years experience of working in the field of disability ……………..................................

Member;

(viii) Person with disability as defined in clause(s) of section 2 of the Act…………………………….

(ix) Any other member as invited by the Chairperson………….........................................

(2) The District Level Committee for each District shall be constituted by an order issued by the Dy. Commissioner of the District and its tenure shall be for a period of three years from the date of its constitution.
