Section 48: Advisory Committee to assist the State Commissioner

(1) The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi shall appoint an Advisory Committee comprising five experts to represent each of the five groups of specified disabilities mentioned in the Schedule to the Act, of whom two shall be women

(2) The State Commissioner may invite subject or domain expert as per the need who shall assist the State Commissioner in meeting or hearing and in preparation of the report.

(3) The tenure of the members of the Advisory Committee shall be for a period of three years and the members shall not be eligible for re- nomination.

(4) The non-official members of the Advisory Committee shall be paid an allowance of rupees two thousand per day for each day of the actual meeting.
