(b) Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted marriage with any person; shall be eligible for appointment to the said post: No. F.4(2)/RR/LB/2017/^5^1-4-^^3.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 98, read with sub-section (2) of section 480 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957 (66 of 1957) read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, notification number S.O. 3159 dated the 19th October, 1966, and after consultation with Union Public Service Commission and in supersession of recruitment regulations relating to the post of Public Health Inspector notified vide No. F.No. 9/9/83-LSG-2176 dated the 28lh April, 1983 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to make the following recruitment regulations for regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Public Health Inspector in North, South and East Delhi Municipal Corporations, namely:-
1.Short title and commencement.-(i) These Regulations may be called The Public Health Inspector Recruitment Regulations, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette.
2.Number of posts, classification and pay level in the Pay matrix. - The number of the said post, their classification and pay level in the Pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these regulations.
3.Method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications etc. - The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said posts, shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule.
4.Disqualification. - No person, -
(a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (TO BE PUBLISHID IN PART-IV OF DELHI GAZETTE) GOVERNMENT OF NATIONAL CAPITAL TERRITORY OF DELHI (DEPARTMENT OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT) Dated the f^^^^- 2017 Notification
6. Saving. - Nothing in these regulations shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for candidates of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, ex-Servicemen and other special categories of persons, in accordance with the orders issued by the Government of India from time to time, in this regard.
5. Power to relax. - Where the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with Union Public Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these regulations with respect to any class or category of persons or posts.
Provided that Government, may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this regulations.
