Section 15: Term of Town vending committee

Delhi Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Rules, 2014.Central Rules · 2014

(1) The term of a Town vending committee constituted under section 22 of the Act, unless sooner dissolved under rule 17 of these rules, shall be five years from the date of its constitution.

(2) The process of constituting a Town vending committee shall be completed­

(i) before the expiry of its term; or

(ii) before the expiry of a period of six months from the date of its dissolution.

16. Removal of a member of Town vending committee- If in the opinion of the Government, any member of a Town vending committee persistently makes defaults in the performance of his duties imposed on him by/or under the Act and these rules or exceeds or abuses its powers, the Government may, by order, remove such member from the committee:

Provided that such member shall be given a reasonable opportunity of being heard before his removal.

17. Dissolution of Town vending committee. If, in the opinion of the Government, a Town vending committee persistently makes defaults in the performance of duties imposed on it by/or under the Act and these rules or exceeds or abuses its powers, the Government may, by order, dissolve such Town vending committee and constitute a fresh Town vending committee.
